Sony Online Entertainment has revealed the inclusion of Solomon Grundy in DC Universe Online, the upcoming PS3 MMO. Solomon Grundy is a half-human (the remaining half being part zombie, part plant, exact ratio unknown…) villain that has been in a state of confused anger for his century-spanning lifetime. His immortality and enhanced strength makes him a huge threat to even the strongest heroes in the DC Universe. Find him skulking in swamps, sewers, and abandoned buildings in both Metropolis and Gotham City, and beware the low growl of “Solomon Grundy, born on a Monday…”

SIXTH!
Arm & Headbands? Pah! Amateurs. Going to work in a black bin sack gets you more noticed… plus it is remarkably cool on the inside. Everybody kept calling me “Russell” for some reason though!?!
I would like to see Marvel Comics’ The Incredible Hulk (Robert Bruce Banner, or “David Bruce Banner” if you are familiar the Bill Bixby TV incarnation) go up against (All-American Comics’ / Detective Comics’) Solomun Grundy (Cyrus Gold), but I bet you’ll not see them together at the same time.
I wonder why? Hmmm….
Solomun Grundy (who oddly enough took his name due to the fact he was reanimated from the corpse of Cyrus Gold dumped in Slaughter Swamp near Gotham City… on a Monday) is an enemy of (the first) Green Lantern, as well as making appearances against Batman & Superman, and at one time became a partner to Harvey Dent. As both Batman & Superman are already present in the “DC Universe (Online)” game, I hope there are many supporting characters for each of those already confirmed.
I also hope this game doesn’t super-suck as much as previous DC games have.
PS. The Collector’s Edition of “Batman: Arkham Asylum” is looking Holy Moly Expensive…
