Every time we see new screenshots from Killzone 2, the game seems to look even more impressive. There are 14 new shots over at IGN that are taken from the E3 demo earlier this year, and should whet the appetite of any Killzone fan out there.

The head of technology for BBC News Online, Darren Waters, visited the Killzone 2 developers (Guerilla) in Amsterdam last week. As well as giving some hands-on impressions of the game, they filmed an interview with the MD, Hermen Hulst, and the producer, Steven Ter Heide. Take a look at what they had to say:

Keeping today’s Killzone 2-fest at full pelt, the word is that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe with be updating the PlayStation Network with a video trailer for the game tomorrow. There’ll be plenty more E3 content in there as well.

Dubbed ‘the ultimate first person shooter for PlayStation 3′, Sony unveiled Killzone 2 at a particularly exclusive media event at E3 in Santa Monica last night. Developed by Guerrilla Games, it has players in the midst of the action between the ISA and Helghast army, with the emphasis on gritty realism and extreme detail.

“There have rightly been high expectations for Killzone 2 since we shared the vision for the title back in 2005,” said Phil Harrison, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios. “Guerrilla have worked hard to focus the power of PlayStation 3 to realise their true vision for the game. With incredible action, drama-fueled gameplay sequences, and a vast array of weapons and vehicles, Killzone 2 defines a new benchmark of our industry.”
