Due to on/off tube strikes, our next 3Rooms event is now scheduled for the above date. Activity includes a presentation from Nina Kristensen, Chief Development Ninja at Ninja Theory on Heavenly Sword, followed by a Q&A. Then there’s the Warhawk competition, with two rounds - a preliminary and then the final. There’s also the chance to get hands on with Drake’s Fortune, Ratchet & Clank and Heavenly Sword. Plus we might have a few extra things to add to the bill in due course…

Top prize in the Warhawk competition will be a trophy and a signed piece of Heavenly Sword artwork from Nina and the team at Ninja Theory. Should be a good one. We will be in touch with those who are on the list in the next couple of days.

Three Speech is happy to announce another night of competition and exclusives at PlayStation’s 3Rooms venue in east London on September 5 from 7pm-10pm.

The night will consist of a Warhawk competition with prizes for the winners, plus some new sneak peaks at forthcoming PS3 titles such as Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune and Heavenly Sword.

Afraid we can’t lay on free transport or accommodation this time but there will be free drinks to oil those fingers. Get an email over if you are interested in coming with ‘3Rooms Event’‚ as the subject. First 50 through the inbox get the invites.

Bit of a round up, starting with…

Reviews on Three Speech. Yep, we can understand if any of you have reservations over us featuring first party titles but, equally, we don’t censor our writers and view reviews appearing here much the same as them appearing in the official magazine. Let us know your thoughts - if it’s apparent you don’t want these reviews, we’ll steer clear.

Leipzig. We’ll have Leipzig Gaming Convention news to tell next week, including some clarification on the digital TV tuner.

3Rooms. We’ll be back there again shortly. Most likely with a Warhawk competition evening, at which we’ll also offer a sneak peak at a few other titles, in September.

Rather than Three Speech reviewing this week’s event down at 3Rooms, we thought we’d ask some of those that attended to give us there impression of the night. Here’s what Azz from www.gamesey.com had to say (special thanks to Ricky Hodgson for providing the pics):

I was one of the lucky few who got to go to Three Speech’s Three Rooms event on Tuesday, and this is my personal account of the event. Before I begin I should highlight that this was my first time at a Three Rooms event, and probably more importantly, my first hands-on with a PS3!

I met up with three other members of Gamesey at our hotel and we headed down to London’s Shoreditch area, where the Three Rooms event was being hosted. You’ve probably seen pictures of the white building with a graffiti exterior… When we got there, we were let in by two doormen, and greeted by a charming young lady with a mysterious in-the-know look on her face, very Justin-Timberlake-music-video-esque. She checked to see we were on the list then directed us to the bar upstairs. Already, everything felt exclusive and we felt like total VIPs!

Following his keynote at GDC, Phil Harrison stoped off at 3Rooms in London to offer guests of Three Speech a hands on with LittleBigPlanet and a stroll around PS3’s virtual world, Home.
