Does anyone know if SSX will be coming to PS3, it was one of the reasons I orginally bought a PS2 would love to see a new version of it…
Comment by Terry — Sep 20, 2007 @ 1:18 pm
Is there a date when the European Store will be available via PC?
Comment by Andreas — Sep 20, 2007 @ 1:27 pm
Aweful update, where are all the demos?
Comment by Russ Johnson — Sep 20, 2007 @ 1:33 pm

Comment by Dougal — Sep 20, 2007 @ 1:47 pm
LocoRoco is $5 on the Aus store, so prob about 2pounds, bargain.
Comment by hugZ — Sep 20, 2007 @ 1:58 pm
Hey threespeech, where’s this ‘official comment’ from Sony about the sub par european PSN content that you mentioned was coming???
Comment by rick_x — Sep 20, 2007 @ 1:59 pm
LocoRoco for the win
Comment by JohnSketch — Sep 20, 2007 @ 2:10 pm
What a shit.
We want exclusive demos, not this kind of shit.
Comment by Roger — Sep 20, 2007 @ 2:21 pm
How much is Locoroco Cocoreccho??? Have not got access to PSN at the moment - just curious?
Anyone had a go of this? What is it like?
Comment by Bazlurgan — Sep 20, 2007 @ 2:46 pm
Looking forward to picking up LocoRoco tonight, bargain at 1.99
No demos? bah im still hopelessly addicted to Super Stardust HD anyway.. still possibly the best thing on PS3 IMO.
Comment by Mal — Sep 20, 2007 @ 2:48 pm
£1.99 for LocoRoco Cocoreccho on the UK store.
It’s not LocoRoco as you know it - the world remains static. You use the left analogue stick to control a butterfly which directs the LocoRocos, circle to make them jump and motion sensing to control MuMu gates and other devices. There’s a single map (well, that I’ve found so far) and what looks like three minigames that have to be unlocked. MuMu gates etc. are also unlocked each play, so you can get into areas of the level you couldn’t before.
Still fun, and as cute as ever though.
Comment by Cei — Sep 20, 2007 @ 2:50 pm
Another load of total tripe.
The game trailers are especially pointless in that they do not show you in-game graphics or in-game gameplay, they show you pre-rendered cut scenes to give you the WOW factor when in reality it will look/play nothing like the trailer.
To sum up, totally pointless.
The idea of once again being given the privelage to pay for PS1 games is laughable, they should have given the EU console proper backwards compatability or failing that make the PS1 titles available free of charge. Goodness knows the excess amount we have paid for the console should cover a few freebies.
Get your act together Sony or I kid you not, I can definately see the Delaystation3 going tits up.
PS I do not enjoy having to complain like this but if I don’t you will float around thinking everything is fine, on second thoughts you do this anyway even though we do complain.
Comment by Ton Capone — Sep 20, 2007 @ 2:54 pm
Great job Sony. Good to see that you’ve put Locoroco out to all stores at the same time.
Comment by reakt — Sep 20, 2007 @ 2:56 pm
Another horrible update.
Why must Europe suffer so much? Sony said for EU updates they have to add in a lot of of the languages to the games and whatnot, but honestly, a lot of people in Europe speak English… atleast give us the English version alongside the US store releases.
The demos, whatever, I’ll get them off the US store (even though I shouldn’t have to, they should be released alongside with EU). But I’ve been waiting for Super Puzzle Fighter for ages, and it’s been sitting in the US store for probably a month now, and all I want is the English version, but no chance of buying it. Same thing applies to other games such as PixelJunk Racers, Stardust HD ect.
Really disappointing.
How about giving an option to purchase things from the US store without a US credit card? I’d be happy with that.
Comment by Vince — Sep 20, 2007 @ 3:02 pm
sigh…….more crap….at least we got locoroco. I was expecting having to wait until Xmas 2008 for that.
Comment by James — Sep 20, 2007 @ 3:38 pm
omg! the bitching by you lot *rollseyes*. We are all slowing turning into the US gamers who are complaining of no price drop announced for them at TGS!
Im just as annoyed as you guys are in terms of demos etc, but this week alright. locoroco ftw! Im sure demos are coming…
Comment by bill — Sep 20, 2007 @ 4:06 pm
At least we got the info on Threespeech early this week.
Locoroco Cocoreccho certainly is tempting at that price!
Comment by Bazlurgan — Sep 20, 2007 @ 4:12 pm
Again, where is Puzzle Fighter?
Shouldn’t it be here by now?
Comment by Paul — Sep 20, 2007 @ 4:22 pm
I only want my Piyotama, please Sony release it in PAL store because I can’t see any reason why you couldn’t do it!
Also the same demos that US store has would be appreciated.
Comment by section — Sep 20, 2007 @ 4:37 pm
How on earth is this a bad update?? Medievil is back? HELLO!?!?!? It means they obviously care and obviously _were_ fixing it. LocoRoco looks pretty cool, too, and we get another PS1 classic as well in Syphon Filter. That’s 3 games. THREE. I would be perfectly happy if this is the amount of content released every week - plus some demos of course but I honestly don’t see much point in releasing a demo months before the game is out.. I just use them to see if I want to buy the game or not.
GREAT UPDATE! CHEERS!
Comment by Geoff — Sep 20, 2007 @ 4:56 pm
hmm,a lot better this week i think,still nothing to make me switch on my PS3 for another week but its good to know that its getting better
PS1 games that i really want are square classics
vagrant story
parasite eve 1 and 2
hope they will start with throwing out more PS1 games with the weekly updates
Wii came out at the same time as the PS3 and they have something like 120 titles on their Virtual console
Comment by metallicorphan — Sep 20, 2007 @ 5:40 pm
I’ve already bought Medievil once, why do I have to pay for it again!
Comment by Terry — Sep 20, 2007 @ 5:57 pm
@25
I’ll tell you why you have to buy it again, because the more expensive EU PS3 was stripped of the various chips etc to cut costs thereby greatly reducing it’s backwards compatability. Now Sony kindly expect you to pay again for games you possibly already own but cannot play on the more expensive EU PS3.
Now that’s living! If your a greedy, fat Sony executive.
Comment by ton capone — Sep 20, 2007 @ 6:05 pm
Hi Threespeech
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2007/09/20/playstation-store-update-2/
• Skate
• NBA 08
• Sega Rally Revo
• Stuntman: Ignition
So where is this supposed message from Sony on why the EU store is crap, I know something was mentioned about localisation but I really fail to see how this is genuinely a good enough excuse in this day and age.
Our update is good, but we are still way behind the US, where is the Stranglehold demo, the Street Figher game, Tekken 5 DR online?
It looks like I will again be getting my demos from the US store.
Comment by AliC — Sep 20, 2007 @ 6:22 pm

if its any help, Stranglehold is crap
Comment by Terry — Sep 20, 2007 @ 6:28 pm
I know, i got it when it came out on the US store point still stands however.
Comment by AliC — Sep 20, 2007 @ 6:30 pm
Hey ThreeSpeech, a word in Sony’s ear about why the US got FIVE new pages of content including three new demos which we wont get for weeks probably?
Thanks. We’re all getting majorly pissed.
Comment by Youlikeyams — Sep 20, 2007 @ 6:59 pm
I give up. It’s clear Sony don’t want me as a customer, preferring instead Americans. Bye Sony, if you check ebay, you can see my PS3 up for sale.
Comment by Mike — Sep 20, 2007 @ 7:09 pm
For those complaining about PS1 games being made available, please stop. So far I have seen nothing in the PSN store forcing you to buy anything. Remember there are people like myself who never owned a PS1 or PS2 for that matter.
As for crying about not getting the same demo’s as the US store, why don’t you just frigging get those demo’s from the US store then? My guess for the delays apart from the translation of the demoes is that they prefer releasing the demoes within a certain timespan before the actual game release, so if the game release will be later in Europe then they will delay the demo release here to. As for demanding English versions before others, well I have seen comments from others on these pages complaining loudly when the UK store gets releases of anything before their local store, so it seems a little like a lose/lose proposition here. No matter what they do there will be people screaming murder.
There are also things in Europe holding up games which is outside the direct control of Sony or other game publishers, like local game rating agencies around the continent.
So please people, threespeech is a great forum to ask and get questions from Sony as the threespeech guys has the contacts to ask, but could you please try being more constructive about it than this endless sour belly attitude?
Threespeech getting 20 friendly requests for something is just as likely to produce an answer as 20 acidic ones. In fact the acidic ones are probably less likely to produce a reply as they are written off as the unrepresentative whining of little boys who have so boring lifes that they entertain themselves through trolling online forums.

Wow! For once we have not been screwed over price wise, LocRoco is acutally much cheaper over here than it is in America (almost half te price)!

The Blast Factor expansion pack was promised but, predictably, not delivered. Hopeless.

@11 +1 well spoken kid!
thank you for SEGA RALLY guys, it is really appreciated!! what would we play us in Europe without the US store?
thank you SCEI and Konami for the unreleased MGS4 TGS4 playable demo too…
Now Home delayed until 2008 (gasp), hopefully there’s a good news as the Sixaxis 2 and old PS3 games rumble patches soon coming out.

Hello threespeech im depressed …
Last weekif you remember ,on your site,the following even occured…
the people who run SONY EUROPE PROMISED that we where getting BLAST FACTOR ADVANCED RESEARCH on the 20th September 2007 on the Euro PSN store
Evidently he was telling a complete LIE. A DIsmissable offence in my book.
Where is BLAST FACTOR ADVANCED RESEARCH???
Any ideas? Every week its the same depressing misery,disappointment mixed with lies and delays and depression. and no PS3 FFVII remake announced at TGS which would shut me up whinging for at least 6 months. and now home is delayed too- oh well who even cares about home anyway.
IS there any chance Sony could sack the people who are destroying the European store and bring in the management from USA or Japan to run our store like it should be run? ie so that we get Blast factor advanced research, piyotama , tekken online add on, castlevania, some of the 100 ps1 games that are on the japaneses store and puzzle fighter turbo hd that would be nice they have it in hong kong why not uk? dont even tell me there is lots of dialog to translate. Please get some staff at sony who try to care less about us you know who pay their wages???
we were ALL totally lied to regarding Blast factor A.R. PLEASE INVESTIGATE this act of deception and false promises and lies.
Seems to me promises from sony are not worth much-seems to me that they are just lies. very disappointeing thursday again.
..
Comment by marvin — Sep 20, 2007 @ 11:36 pm
wow, i sorta take back what i said. the US just keeps getting more and more demos, we get next to nothing. If only the did the same thing as locoroco and release it worldwide at the same time :/
Comment by bill — Sep 21, 2007 @ 12:23 am
Loco’s cool but where the f… is blast factor AR?????
Comment by alcameleon — Sep 21, 2007 @ 12:58 am
@ Christian
If you make a direct comparison with the EU store and the US store you’ll see why people are complaining. You can’t honestly believe it’s fair the way they’re handling the situation.
Do you think we’ve been negative since day one? Because we haven’t, we’ve asked nicely, and we’ve waited for months, patiently, for things to change. But now things are just getting ridiculous. The US store is by far a lot better than the rest of the world’s.
Compare this week’s lists:
US Store:
* Loco Roco Cocoreccho full game ($6.99)
* Skate demo (free)
* Stuntman: Ignition demo (free)
* Sega Rally Revolution demo (free)
* NBA 08 demo (free)
* Devil May Cry 4 summer 2007 trailer (free)
* GT5 Prologue Leipzig video (free)
* Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction video (free)
* Folklore trailer (free)
* Lair promo video (free)
* Lair “Going for the kill” video (free)
* Heavenly Sword demo (free)
* NBA 08 Free 6 tutorial (free)
* Loco Roco Cocoreccho trailer (free)
* Wallpapers
EU Store:
* Medevil PS1 game for PS3/PSP (£3.49)
* Syphon Filter PS1 game for PS3/PSP (£3.49)
* Loco Roco Cocoreccho full game (£1.99)
* Jericho trailer (free)
* Heavenly Sword trailers (free)
If they got Loco Roco released worldwide without a hitch, I don’t see why they can’t do it for most, if not all other games.
Sure they’ve got to wait on pending game ratings and whatnot, but being such a big company, Sony should factor these things in and perhaps send the game in earlier to get rated? That’d make sense. They shouldn’t have to ride on that excuse.

Its like cheese on chips

@25 - QUOTE: “I’ve already bought Medievil once, why do I have to pay for it again!”
YOU DON’T!!!! No one is forcing you to buy it again. You have a choice… If you really want to play it again, plug in your old PS1 or PS2 and play your original disc version.
I never had Medievil when it first came out but I’ve heard good things about it so I’m may download it one day.
Thank you Sony - GREAT update today on the FREE PSN service. It’s getting better all the time. And thank you for the excellent Loco Roco today as well at the bargain £1.99.
Comment by Jefrey with one f — Sep 21, 2007 @ 8:46 am
Woo, hopefully this means the issue with PS1 games has been resolved and we can expect a few more to be released from now on. You never know with Sony though!
Comment by uberleet — Sep 21, 2007 @ 9:16 am
What do you mean? Doesn’t the original Medieval work on the PS3 anyway? I haven’t found many old PS1 and PS2 games that don’t work on the PS3 so far.
Comment by Arwin — Sep 21, 2007 @ 10:05 am
Oh and by the way, I agree in general about that the differences between the EU and US stores are annoying. Just offer us the option of downloading non-localised content, please! That’d be a great help.
Anyway, I do want to point out that sometimes the EU PSN actually gets stuff earlier than the US as well. In the list someone gave above, some of the videos and the Heavenly Sword demo have been available for a decent while already for us …
Comment by Arwin — Sep 21, 2007 @ 10:07 am
where is Pes2008?
I want it, now it’s on Market place, we can hope for PSN soon?
Comment by Antuon — Sep 21, 2007 @ 11:45 am
@39
I meant I’ve already bought it off the store once, then they found out it was broken. now they release the fixed one and want another 3.49 for it when I’ve already paid once. I thought everyone who had already bought it would be getting it free?
Comment by Terry — Sep 21, 2007 @ 12:14 pm
Normally this kinda stuff doesn’t annoy me, but todays events have.
Sony Europe - Where is the PES 2008 Demo? Xbox Live has it today (Friday) so where is our copy of it? The lead platform for the game is the PS3 afterall. I can accept ports being later but not games designed specifically for the PS3.
Pathetic, it really is. Get a sodding Xbox and look what they have, because those are the kind of things Sony need to knock the 360 out of the water. At present the Delaystation 3 can’t cut it with games at all. I’m severely disappointed and hope this is rectified sooner rather than later.
Comment by Paul — Sep 21, 2007 @ 2:10 pm
I agree I have been patient up until but where is the Pro Evo demo?, if Konami have not submitted it to Sony then fair enough, but why do I get I feeling that we will see it next Thursday because of Sony’s stubborn insistence on only updating the store once a week why cant you just update the store as you receive the demos trailers etc, its little thing’s like this that are giving M$ the edge with their shitbrick 360.
A few weeks back the Dirt demo was put up on the UK store on the Friday separate from the main Thursday update is there any chance we could be having the demo put up today?
Comment by Gethyn — Sep 21, 2007 @ 2:30 pm
Once i’ve done my travelling i’ll be eliting it up me thinks.

I bet 100 quid Wipeout HD will be delayed until 2008.
Comment by Terry — Sep 21, 2007 @ 2:58 pm
Why should we have to wait a whole week just because a demo is released on a friday?
Drop the stupid thursday update policy Sony and give us the PES2008 for instance, both your customers and your servers will thank you…
Comment by N4ToR — Sep 21, 2007 @ 3:13 pm
Where is PES 2008? I actually want to play the demo on the console i’ll be getting the game for. I am pretty close to selling my PS3 because there is nothing happening for it, the store updates are shite, and i’m just don’t think it is worth the £425 i paid for it.
Comment by Leigh — Sep 21, 2007 @ 4:30 pm
