5. I have also pre-ordered EoJ, hope play.com are able to ship it quickly on Friday so I have it on Saturday. I also just pre-ordered a DualShock3 controller from yesasia.com, hope that site is dependable and that I didn’t just give my credit card number to a fraudent site

6. Got Ratchet & Uncharted on pre-order, probably do the same with Singstar once we get an actual date. Not so sure about that whole Eye of Judgement thing, they should release a Top Trumps version instead.

7. @ Christian,

   On any Japanese PS related products I’ve used / owned, the ‘X’ & ‘O’ functions are usually reversed.

   I have no idea whether this would make a difference on the pad as I assume the button functions are mapped dependent on software.. But I can’t remember if the buttons were in opposite positions OR just did opposite functions..

   Does that make sense?

11. Surprise they are even bothering to release Lair. A game buried by bad press before it has even been released.

    One of those cases where a demo would be its only hope (if all that bad press is unfounded naturally).

    EoJ is a going to be a specialised market I think, or it could bring a specialised market more to the mainstream…. will be interestng to see how it pans out. No interest for me, all those decks would be a waste of money (do NOT think you’ll be able to manage with just the basic deck in the starter pack! How would they be able to make money selling you more packs?).

    And can we get the Singstar date nailed down? My PS3 doesn’t get to move to her flat until it is.

    Yeah, I know what you mean. I used a PS3 from Singapore for a while before the European version came out and the X and O switch confused the hell out of me, especially as it switched back and forth between different applications and games. I guess the combination of using an Asian system yet setting the locale to Europe confused the system and games a bit.

    But I would assume that the keycode for the buttons in the controllers are the same so I shouldn’t have a problem with an Asian controller.

    @Shrui
    Not sure how niche/specialised the EoJ will be, if its good it could be a killer app for the PS3. The Magic the Gathering community for instance would be a significant addition of people for the PS3 community if they got turned into PS3 owners through EoJ.

30. If a game does excruciatingly badly in one territory, does the publisher feel compelled to sell it in another?
    This is another argument for simultaneous wordwide releases. Everyone gets to find out how good a bad a game is at the same time.

35. SINGSTAR PS3 WILL NOT SHIP WITH WIRELESS MIC’S.
    I HAVE PLAYED SINGSTAR PS3 AND IT HAD WIRED MICS, SAME ONES AS SINGSTAR PS2

    THERE ARE TECHINICAL DIFFICULTIES USING 2 MICS OVER BLUETOOTH AND ALSO SONYS DEV UNITS ONLY SUPPORT WIRELESS FOR THE SIXAXIS

    THIS WILL BE THE SAME FOR ROCKBAND WHEN IT COME OUT AS IT WILL HAVE A USB WIRELESS DONGLE
