It wasn’t too long ago when devs were complaining about the difficulty of developing for the PS3. It would appear that opinions are starting to change, though. Two well known developers have recently spoken positively about developing for the PS3.
COD4 developer Infinity Ward said “PS3 development was easy”. For the full interview click here.
Also Kane & Lynch and Hitman developer IO Interactive said “developing for PS3 is fun”. For that interview click the link here.

Funny thought - when they were making those opinions did they have a gun to there head?
Good to at least hear some folk praising multicore programming! It’s only hard if you don’t know how as they say!

good devs work hard and dont moan! for a individual, his watch, shoes say alot of things about the person. its same for the devs, IW, IO, Insomniac are great examples of true talent.

Nice multiple trivial announcement release in order to brush the hundreds of furious responses to firmware 2.0 off the front page.
Way to go Threespeech.
That particular thread should be stickied and/or sent to some at SCEE for them to read exactly what response they are provoking from their customers.

@Tony
give it a rest, you didn’t mention all the positive comments in that thread.

@ BENNE77
Are you trying to say that Call of Duty 4 and Kane and Lynch are bad games? I think these companies have every right to say that its easy to develop for the PS3 because they have done it successfully.
Also, developers that make crap games say that its hard.
You sense a trend here? Like JohnSketch said, its only hard if you don’t know how.
