Let’s not also forget that they changed the name of it because americans don’t understand “northern lights”, apparently. Nor do they understand what a “philosopher’s stone” is for that matter, but meh.
Comment by Geoff — Nov 26, 2007 @ 6:22 pm
It’s amusing to think that America don’t have Philosophers…..well to be honest it isn’t surprising but then we won’t get into that here

Oooh great, with the imminent release of Haze, Uncharted and Unreal Tournament, plus COD4 and R&C just out, cant see these shifting many copies!!! I’m haven’t even started Mass Effect yet, and still only half way through Orange box on my 360…
Comment by VoodooCharlie — Nov 26, 2007 @ 6:34 pm
@ 4
Sorry to rain on your parade but it is rumoured that HAZE has been postphoned until next year.

Comment by Adam — Nov 26, 2007 @ 7:56 pm
These four games are crap. Bluntly!
Comment by Terry — Nov 26, 2007 @ 7:57 pm
what about Tekken 6, NBA 2K8 and Gradius? not that i care. but they were supposed to be out on the 30th too.
Stranglehold is the only good game there.
the only other game due before the end of the year worth playing.
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
ANYONE prove otherwise? everything else is delayed until 2008. and i thought Sony were bringing out the big guns for it’s first xmas.
Comment by mobiletone — Nov 26, 2007 @ 10:11 pm
Tekken 6? Are you kidding? The arcade is out in Japan if you want to play it. There’s no date for home version yet.
Gradius? When? How? What number would it be? Has Konami even said something, besides they are doing it?
Comment by Omaesan — Nov 26, 2007 @ 10:21 pm
I kind of began to get upset at those guys trashing on Americans (i’m American), but then I realized they were right. haha i’m not very proud ot be an american.
Stranglehold is the only halfway decent game in that list. And they did ruin the book with the movie
Comment by Mike — Nov 26, 2007 @ 10:23 pm
A quick look on Metacritic has Stranglehold down as an average of 77/100, so it’s above average by the sounds of it.
I’m still holding out for Uncharted and R&C for this XMas holiday. The box I got came with Resistance and Motostorm, so those four should keep me and boy happy until MGS4 and Little Big Planet come out.
Comment by Savage — Nov 27, 2007 @ 12:00 am
Sony needs to bring out a new bundle for christmas,
one with good games, not these.
Comment by Jeff — Nov 27, 2007 @ 12:46 am

Comment by frank — Nov 27, 2007 @ 12:48 am
Congratulations Frank, you have the intelligence of a plank
Comment by Dave — Nov 27, 2007 @ 2:13 am
All I’m looking forward to now this year is Uncharted and Pain.
Im just a little bit too busy atm, what with Warhawk, COD4 & Skate
Though, I will no doubt still pick up some of the smaller titles off PSN……. Theyre always good for filling gaps
Comment by Johnny5_Hull — Nov 27, 2007 @ 8:20 am
@14 Frank, not American are you?
Just guessing from your grammar and intelligent critique of the peolple who use this web site.
I’m also guessing you’re probably a lonely individual as well.
Have you heard of the English word “Tosser”?
By the way, I gave up smoking years ago.

I saw Blazing Angels 2 for sale in my local Woolworths last weekend (in case anyone wants to get it early!). I played the demo and I didn’t rate it though!
Comment by reakt — Nov 27, 2007 @ 10:36 am
ummm, eerrrrr, yup…. still no games. I hope Unchartered lasts and Orange Box PS3 doesn’t suck - THAT would be a disaster.
Comment by Mr Jimmy — Nov 27, 2007 @ 10:44 am
Still no games?!?! I went into my local HMV last week for the first time in ages and couldn’t believe the number of releases for the PS3 available. You cannot say there aren’t any games simply because there’s a title you want that isn’t out yet.
The list of available PS3 games is quite staggering considering it’s not even a year old in the UK. I’ve got to somehow find the money to get hold of Assassins’ Creed, Ratchet & Clank, Folklore, The Simpsons Game, Guitar Hero 3, Call of Duty 4, Lego Star Wars which are all out now, and then in the coming weeks Uncharted and SingStar for definite and then (depending on the reviews) perhaps Timeshift & Half Life Orange Box.
I’m actually glad Haze, Metal Gear Solid and Unreal Tournament are postponed until next year.
Please don’t keep saying there are no games when there appear to be a great number more available than at this time in the PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360’s lives.
And these are quality titles too.
Comment by Dave Vincent — Nov 27, 2007 @ 12:05 pm
@20 yeah ditto, after playing Ace Combat 6 on the 360, that demo sucked a lot.
Comment by Terry — Nov 27, 2007 @ 12:18 pm
Very poor, very poor indeed, almost not worth reporting to be honest.

Yet, the Xbox 360 has far more games avaliable, far better quality too. Take COD4 for example, in my local shop the PS3 version was more expensive, most of my mates have a 360 and not a PS3, I know the 360 has easy to use friends lists and ‘party functions’ making playing online with my mates a breeze, something the PS3 still hasn’t managed to do.. So guess which one I bought.. The 360 version of course!
Being pleased about orange box coming out on the PS3.. eventually when it’s been out on the 360 for a long time, is a little unfortunate IMO.
I’ve got both a 360 and PS3, and only ever had PS’s before now.. I use my 360 all the time, the PS3 has only ever been used as a BR player, simply because the games suck! The Online play is a joke and non of my other mates have been daft enough to buy one!
Where did Sony go so wrong….

Wow, such great games! It’s about time to get a second job to pay for them.

Well, that’s another xmas lost to the competition, honestly who’s running this damn business. I beleve Sony’s arrogance and contempt for the market will be rewarded in 2008 with these words; “3rd party multi-format HD disk players”.
